Micro Molding

posted 03/03/2015

Control of the mold design and process is essential to the success of any micro-molding project. Shine Sen Tech has in-house molding design, build and maintenance resources is a significant advantage when dealing with extremely tight tolerances and complexities of the parts we have already mentioned. The end goal; making good parts on time every time requires experienced in-house tooling, design engineering, project planning, process engineering and quality engineering resources. This assures a fully developed design for manufacturing.

Not every application requires microscopic parts, many times a customer has a small molding project that requires demanding geometry and tight tolerances, but on a slightly larger scale. For example, a part measuring about an inch long can have many micro-sized features, a 1mm thin wall section, a 0.20mm diameter hole, etc. These features can be extreme, but a genuine micro-molder can apply the skills and expertise from successful micro-molding to these larger parts.

The in-house molding makers are integral members of the project management team as are the quality technicians and process engineers. Shine Sen Tech teamworker must plan and execute many sophisticated production processes while maintaining strict project time lines. The need for clear on-going communications all along the way is essential.

Shine Sen Tech has been providing high-quality, high-precision plastic components for over 20 years through their micro molding capabilities. The plastic parts they’ve helped to design and manufacture include integrated lens housings, integrated lens arrays, critical medical components like clips and holders, and many more. Micro-optics in general are a great fit for Accumold’s micro molding services because of the need for high-precision and tight-tolerance molding. Plastic parts created through precision micro molding allow you to:

.Reduce weight, size, and cost of your small parts
.Opportunity to consolidate multiple parts into one plastic piece
.Reap the benefits of using plastic over glass without sacrificing high-quality or high-precision     requirements typically associated with critical components
